Friends Evening: Smartphone-free childhood expert talk

  • Friends of Judith Kerr Primary School 68 Half Moon Lane London, England, SE24 9JE United Kingdom (map)

We are delighted to welcome Dr Nicola Kalk from Kings College London to the JKPS lunch hall for an informal expert talk for parents on her research into the impacts of smartphone usage in pupils.

Please join us on Friday 31st January at 7.30 pm for Dr Kalk’s talk followed by a Q&A, accompanied by some wine and elderflower.

Dr Kalk is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Addictions at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, and a Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist working at Kings College Hospital. Amongst others, she led the study ''There's more to life than staring at a small screen" and will give us her take on the relationship between problematic smartphone use and mental health problems such as anxiety and sleep disorders in pupils.
